Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol Wedding // Simon and Llinos
Si and Llinos were one of our few couples that, when COVID-19 hit, decided to cancel their nuptials rather than postpone and hope for the best. We were gutted but understood. Fast-forward a few months and hit play. “The wedding is back on and being planned for 2 weeks time - can you be there?” says Si over the phone. Our response “Send us the address!”.
These guys decided that even if they couldn’t have all their friends and family in one place at one time, it wouldn’t stop them celebrating their love with all their most important people. Two days, two groups of 30, two ceremonies (only one set of rings and one dress but can you blame them?) and even two different pizza vans! Archie’s idea of heaven.
Day one saw them legally bind as Man and Wife at the Bristol registry office before heading to the Clifton Suspension Bridge for some photos and a glass of fizz in between down pours. Then back to the beautifully set up garden at home with hay bails and homemade barrel-bar-tables (incredible work Simon!) and space at the end for Pizza van no.1 to park up and serve. Emotional speeches under canvas and cake with family whilst hiding from the rain made for a brilliant day. Ready to do it all again tomorrow??
Day two was when the friends arrived - some having left their homes for the first time in months to be there. Llinos walked down her second aisle. Simon got to marry her all over again - dreamy. Speeches were repeated, although with citrus holding stand-ins for parents, and an incredible Rosa Bloom sparkling jump suit as a costume change. Pizza van no.2 delivered and with all their friends around them, S+L signed off on a wedding so different from what they had originally planned, but so perfect in its final form.
