For outdoorsy people, the Edale Gathering must be just about the best place in the UK to get married!!
Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, just under Kinder Scout and surrounded by the National Park it offers a little haven of calm amidst all the amazing surroundings.
Misha and Henry are incredible people, and brought bags of conventional, and unconventional style to the day. Gorgeous flowers throughout, a super unique yellow wedding dress, a superb dark blue suit, and a group of friends that were down to PARTY!!!
They tied the knot (quite literally in a knot tying ceremony) with the backdrop of kinder plateau behind them, before a delicious wedding breakfast in a marquee setup with long trestle tables for guests to sit at. The speeches were all superb, with some really touching words from the Maid of Honour, and a joint speech between the bride and groom thanking everyone for being in their lives. The party finished up in the shooting lodge with a brilliant DJ set that had everyone on their feet.
As a fairly DIY wedding venue, the owner allows and encourages people to really make the place their own for the day (or week) that you stay. I love the provision of safari style luxury camping tents around the venue that friends and family can stay in both before and after the wedding day! We got to stay in one for a wedding a couple of years ago and it was actually super warm, and for a guy that hates camping - pretty damn comfortable!

One thing I’ve always wanted to do was take a second day out after the wedding and capitalise properly on some of the craggy edges and outcroppings nearby for some post-wedding couples shots.
